International Programs
A major component of the Freeman MBA is the Global Leadership Module, which provides students with experience in the expanding world of international business. The two-year module is designed to introduce students to the global markets of the world and what they mean for competition and business opportunities. Integrated into the module are three trips that put students on the ground in the major business regions of the world (Asia, Europe and Latin America) to give them an introduction to the business and political culture of those regions. No other U.S. business schools have mandatory trips to three major business regions of the world.
In 2007 Freeman launched the Global MBA, a joint venture with ITAM in Mexico City, Mexico, Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, and IESA in Caracas, Venezuela. This special international module enables MBA students interested in leadership positions in the Americas to take six courses in six different countries as part of a unique international cohort featuring students from each university. The curriculum allows students either to accelerate their MBA program or earn a dual MBA/Master of Global Management.
The Freeman School offers study abroad and internship programs in Asia, Europe and Latin America. Study-abroad sites have included China, the Czech Republic, England, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Mexico, Spain and Taiwan. A large percentage of Freeman School BSM and MBA students participate in these programs, while Executive MBA students participate in an international seminar and trip.
In partnership with prestigious institutions, the Freeman School has delivered executive education programs across Latin America and Asia. The Freeman Schools international executive programs include the Asia Executive MBA programs, which includes managers and executives from Taiwan Republic of China and the Peoples Republic of China, and the Chile MBA for the Americas. Previous off-site Executive MBA programs have included offerings in Carmen, Mexico; Villahermosa, Mexico; and Guayaquil, Ecuador.
The Tulane faculty-development PhD program began in 1994 and has grown to include 70 faculty members currently enrolled or graduated. These programs are contractual arrangements between Tulane University and selected top business schools in Latin America to provide doctoral degree programs for working faculty. Partner institutions have included ITESM, Monterrey, Mexico; IESA, Caracas, Venezuela; Universidad de los Andes, Bogota, Colombia; ESPOL, Guayaquil, Ecuador; and ICESI, Cali, Colombia; ITAM, Mexico City, Mexico; and Universidad Francisco Marroqun, Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Alumni
The Freeman School has more than 14,000 alumni worldwide. The Tulane Association of Business Alumni (TABA) provides assistance to the school and sponsors the annual Tulane Business Forum in New Orleans. Membership is open to all alumni.
