Under the Federal Family Education Loan Program, assistance includes subsidized and unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans. Other programs include Federal Perkins Loan Program and Federal Work-Study Program. Typically, federal programs consist of a package of loans and campus employment as determined by federal eligibility criteria. Applicants must be United States citizens or permanent residents and be enrolled at least half-time (six credit hours). To apply, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). It is recommended that you apply online at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov. Because funds are limited and the process is lengthy, the FAFSA should be submitted as early as possible in the application process. Students who are selected for verification by the federal processor must submit a signed copy of their federal income tax return and may be asked to submit additional items.
