Outstanding Alumni of the Class of 1955

Tulane University's Emeritus Club Board of Governors announces the honorees for the "Outstanding Alumni of the Class of 1955" award, to be presented at their Friday, May 20 Emeritus Club Commencement Induction Luncheon.
The four recipients of the award will be:

Mignon Faget, N '55
Sidney W. Lassen, B '55
Linda Barnett Mintz, N '55, G '67
Hamilton F. Richardson, A&S '55

The luncheon will be at Metairie Country Club, by special arrangements, courtesy of The Honorable Thomas Wicker Jr., a past chairman of the Emeritus Club Board and chairman of its 50 year reunion committee.

The event will begin at 11:30 am with cash bar cocktails; luncheon will be served at 12:15. Luncheon is $25 per person. I.T.s accepted.

Tables will be reserved by school and affinity group, including one for the basketball varsity team of 1954-55.

This is an excellent cultivation opportunity: many 50 year graduates haven't been back in the intervening 50 years. The Tulane/Newcomb Class of 1955 are invited and will be inducted into the Emeritus Club. 1955 class mates will sign the book in which 50 year classes have signed for over 50 years, and receive their Emeritus Club pins.

All current members of the Emeritus Club comprised (until the new class is inducted) of classes of 1954 and earlier, are urged to attend to welcome the new class into the Club.

Guests and spouses are always welcome.

Friends of the honorees in the community are invited and don't have to have attended Tulane to join us in celebrating their achievement.

Dress is coat & tie for gentlemen; for ladies, comparable attire, with a jacket or wrap suggested due to air conditioning.

Please call the Tulane University Office of Alumni Affairs (504.865.5901) to make a reservation, or Patricia McWhorter-Broussard (504.865.5615) with any questions, or to get honorees biographies electronically.
