TABA (Tulane Association of Business Alumni)

The Tulane Association of Business Alumni (TABA) represents the 15,000+ alumni of the A. B. Freeman School of Business. TABA provides support to the school, its students and alumni through a variety of activities.

  • TABA organizes and hosts the Tulane Business Forum, the largest one-day conference of its type in New Orleans with an audience of 650+.  Each year, the Forum features speakers of national acclaim who address a wide variety of business topics of general interest to the business community. Five credit hours of Continuing Professional Education can be earned by attending the Forum.
  • TABA supports student placement by sponsoring network receptions around the country, most notably Freeman Days in New York, Houston, D.C. and New Orleans.
  • TABA also sponsors the Tulane Business Plan Competition and the TABA Community Service Program, a program in partnership with the Levy-Rosenblum Institute for Entrepreneurship. This program affords students opportunities for experiential learning in their fields of study as business consultants to local organizations.
  • TABA also provides social opportunities for both students and alumni to come together through its sponsorship of activities including Rock 'n' Bowl outings and the annual baseball party.

How can I contribute?

There are many ways for you to contribute--with your time, your energy, your ideas, and by donating to the annual fund.

  • The easiest way for us to include you is to visit RECONNECT and update your home or work information.
  • You can receive the Freeman e-Newsletter by joining the alumni listserv by contacting Rhonda Earles at rearles@tulane.edu or 504.862.8470.  The e-newsletter is sent approx. every three weeks. Sign Up Now!
  • There are also several LinkedIn professional networking groups; just upload your profile at http://linkedin.com and request membership on the Burkenroad Reports, Darwin Fenner Fund, Tulane Entrepreneurs Association or the Freeman School of Business groups. (Rhonda Earles is listed as the "owner" for these groups.)
  • You can also volunteer for the spearkers' bureau.  Let us know if you're willing to be a guest speaker in a class, serve on a career panel, be a judge for a competition.  If you're coming to New Orleans, let us know and we'll try to put you in contact with students interested in your industry.  To join, contact Rhonda Earles at rearles@tulane.edu or 504.862.8470
  • Those who contribute at least $50 per year to the Freeman School are considered supporting alumni. By becoming a supporting alumnus/a, you are helping to ensure that certain services to the Freeman School and Freeman School alumni continue, including ongoing Freeman projects, scholarships and fellowships.
