Since its inception on December 31, 2001, the Burkenroad Small-Cap Mutual Fund (ticker symbols HYBUX and HHBUX) has outperformed about 99% of the nation's nearly 7,000 equity mutual funds. The fund has outperformed both the Standard & Poors' 500 (large cap stocks) and the Russell 2000 (small cap stocks) for the past 1, 3, 5, and 10 year periods.
The fund is managed by Hancock Bank and now has over $80 million in assets. Hancock's managers utilize our student-produced research reports (as well as other sources) in the management of the Burkenroad Small-Cap Fund.
