Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program - Sponsored by the Annie Casey Foundation's Making Connections New Orleans in January 2005, contribution $18,000 and in January 2006, contributed $5,000. Free income tax and earned income tax credit assistance for low income families.

Academies of Entrepreneurship at John McDonogh and Booker T. Washington High Schools - Sponsored by Whitney National Bank in September 2004, contribution $10,000. Entrepreneurship education and practice in New Orleans's public high schools.

Kauffman Entrepreneurship Internship Program - Sponsored by the Kauffman Foundation in January 2002, contributed $50,000. In January 2004, contribution $50,000 and in January 2005, contributed $10,000. Paid internships for business students in entrepreneurial companies.

Individual Development Account (IDA) Collaborative of Louisiana - Sponsored by the State of Louisiana Department of Social Services in July 2002, contribution $4,000,000. Statewide program in financial education and asset building for low income families through home ownership, education and business grants.
