Stewart Center for Executive Education

The Stewart Center for Executive Education coordinates and administers the Freeman School’s credit and non-credit executive programs. These programs include the nationally ranked New Orleans Executive MBA program, an accelerated 19-month program designed for mid- and uppler-level managers; the Houston EMBA program, a satellite of the New Orleans program housed in the Freeman School's own facility in Houston; and the Asia Executive MBA program, a special 13-month program for managers from Taiwan and Mainland China. In 1997, the Freeman School initiated the MBA for the Americas, a bilingual EMBA program for Latin American executives offered in partnership with Universidad de Chile.

In addition to domestic and international executive MBA programs, the Stewart Center also coordinates non-degree-granting programs for corporations and organizations. These in-house programs enable companies to bring in Freeman School faculty to deliver custom-designed employee development programs to meet the specific educational needs of the organization.

The Stewart Center was founded in 1982 to offer working professionals the opportunity to earn an MBA in an accelerated, weekend format with minimal interruption to their careers. In recognition of a generous endowment, the Stewart Center was in 1994 named in honor of Frank B. Stewart and his family, longtime supporters of Tulane University. The program is fully accredited by AACSB International and is consistently ranked among the top EMBA programs in the U.S. and Latin America by Business Week, AmericaEconomia, and other publications.
