Houston Master of Finance Program Master of Finance in Houston The Master of Finance (MFIN) program in Houston is a specialized program designed for busy managers and young professionals who desire focused and advanced training in finance.
The Houston MFIN is a 14-month, 32-credit hour graduate program that offers in-depth coverage of finance, accounting, and econometrics. A total of 16-credit hours make up the core coursework, and the remaining 16-credit hours are advanced electives in finance. The ideal candidate applying for admission to the MFIN program will be a finance professional or even a recent graduate who seeks a management career in finance but lacks the formal qualifications, area-specific knowledge, and tools needed to enter such a career. No work experience is required for admission, but strong quantitative skills and a bachelor's degree are essential. Students begin coursework in January and will complete the degree requirements the following January. Classes are held on alternate weekend on Tulane's Houston campus. This program is a lock-step program; all students move through the coursework together as one unit and follow the preset curriculum. A Tulane Master of Finance degree is earned. Applications are now being accepted.
