Executive MBA

Asia EMBA - Facilities

Students who are enrolled in Tulane's Asia EMBA program choose to attend classes in either Shanghai or Taipei.  Courses are taught in Shanghai and in Taipei in the summer and fall of the first year. Each course is conducted over two consecutive weekends. One course may be conducted in conjunction with a professional seminar.

Shanghai
Classes are conducted at the Education Building located at 18 Yixian Road in Shanghai. The classroom is equipped with Internet connections, audio/visual equipment, and computer projection. Lunch is provided on all class days. Staff support is provided when classes are in session. On-site parking is available.

Taipei
Classes are held at the Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research in Taipei. The classroom is equipped with audio/visual equipment. Lunch is provided on all class days. Parking is available for a fee.
 
New Orleans
Asia Executive MBA students travel to Tulane's New Orleans campus for two three-week seminars.  Classes are held at the Stewart Center for Executive Education facilities, located in Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II, a four-story, state-of-the-art building adjacent to Goldring/Woldenberg Hall.  Built in 2003, Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II includes comfortable, case-method style classrooms with data ports and electrical outlets at each seat,  network printers, and state-of-the-art presentation and projection equipment. 
 
The Executive MBA dining room, lounge, and conference room are reserved for Asia EMBA meals, breaks, and meetings on class days.   Meals are provided to Asia Executive MBA students during the intensive seminars in New Orleans. Students are encouraged to utilize these informal breakfast, lunch, and dinner periods to interact with classmates, faculty, and staff.
 
Lillian A. and Robert L. Turchin Library
The Turchin Library is a modern business library that meets the comprehensive research needs of students, faculty, and staff and provides an excellent setting for individual and group study and research. Its extensive informational and reference resources include over 35,000 volumes, 700 journals, and a number of electronic databases, such as Dow-Jones, ABI/Inform, Disclosure, National Trade Databank, Compustat, and Business and Industry, for business periodical research and corporate information retrieval. The Turchin Library offers online access to an extensive list of periodicals, services, and databases. 
Enrolled students can access information from Turchin library databases via computer from virtually anywhere in the world.

Media Services
Audiovisual support and production assistance is available to students for developing business presentation skills.  The media services group offers a television studio, full production and editing capabilities, a viewing room, graphics processing, and computer- and video-projection equipment for classroom use.

Management Communications Center
Professional writing instructors review and evaluate course papers, oral presentations, and case analyses. Students consult with instructors to improve oral and written communication skills and to answer questions about effective business communications.

Management Technology Center
Pentium-class Compaq multimedia workstations running the Windows NT operating system offer students access to a variety of Windows-based software applications, as well as Tulane's RS/6000 UNIX servers, Freeman School servers, and the Internet.
  The Freeman School offers a wireless computer environment and state-of-the-art technology that includes a trading room, computer labs, and technical support services.

Reily Recreation Center
The Reily Recreation Center, a state-of-the-art recreational facility, features lap pools, racquetball, squash, and tennis courts, weight and exercise rooms, and an indoor track. Asia Executive MBA students may gain access to these facilities with their student ID cards and the applicable fee.
