Houston PMBA Academic Schedule
2008-10 Course Calendar and Curriculum Schedule Tulane's Professional MBA in Houston program is designed so that students attend classes on Friday evenings and Saturdays of alternate weekends.
Curriculum The lock-step curriculum begins each June and continues for 23 months. Two weekend seminars are held during the curriculum, with an 8-day international seminar at the end of the program. The international seminar destinations are determined several months after the start of the curriculum.
Pre-Curriculum Prior to the program start, we offer two preparatory courses, one in Accounting and one in Quantitative Skills, where we review the math needed for the program and hit Excel hard. These excellent refreshers help students become reacquainted with concepts that will be introduced in the early courses of the curriculum.
At Orientation, students meet their classmates and study teams; receive textbooks, materials, and assignments for their first classes; and learn details about academic and program policies and procedures. Spouses and significant others are invited to attend. A full day of team building completes the Orientation weekend,to prepare students for their team experience in the program and offering techniques and methods for dealing with team issues.
