Tulane’s Energy Trading Competition gives students unprecedented
access to industry leading technology in a professional environment.
Designed with industry trading firms in mind, the competition is
cutting edge, fast-paced, intense and highly realistic.
The competition is risk-adjusted, putting the focus on realistic
strategies rather than pure profit. Students present and justify their
strategies to judges who base the results upon their performance.
Professionals from across the industry convene at Tulane to judge
the final round of the competition offering a unique opportunity for
networking as well as providing internship and job opportunities.
The A.B. Freeman Trading Center is a $3 million dollar
facility that serves as a hands-on laboratory for energy, trading,
risk management, equities and options courses. The
Center replicates a real-world trading experience
featuring industry-leading technology including current
simulation, trading and financial software from Trading
Technologies, Thompson Reuters, and LIM, as well as data
from CME Group.
