TULANE ALUMNI BUSINESS ASSOCIATION FINANCIAL AWARDS FOR FREEMAN DAYS
The Tulane Association of Business Alumni (TABA) will provide financial assistance for attendance at Freeman Days in New York, Houston, and Washington, D.C., to a maximum of $650, $400, and $450, respectively. For each event, one Freeman School graduate student and one Freeman School undergraduate will be provided the specified amounts through a selection process administered by the Career Management Center (CMC) on behalf of TABA. Only full-time Freeman School students are eligible; therefore, exchange students, sponsored students, and students minoring in Business cannot apply or be considered for the TABA Freeman Days Awards.
In order to qualify, students are to submit an essay of one hundred words or less indicating the basis of their need and their specific objectives in attending a specified Freeman Days event, and comply with the following rules. Any and all questions/clarifications must be directed to the CMC.

Freeman Days-New York: August 17 to August 20
Freeman Days - Houston: September 13 to September 16
Freeman Days - Washington D.C.: October 4 to October 7
Students must make unique essay submissions for each event and strictly comply with the dates of submission as stated in #2 above. One and only one essay is allowed per student per event.
An individual student is limited to one award only. Once awarded, the student becomes ineligible for subsequent TABA Freeman Days Awards.
The Career Management Center will review all submitted essays and select those that most clearly express the needs and objectives criteria. Essays that have grammatical or spelling errors will be rejected.
Students who earn awards will be notified of their selection by the CMC for New York on Monday, August 24; for Houston on Friday, September 18; and for Washington, D.C., on Friday, October 9 by e-mail
Awards will be paid within two weeks after the submission by the awarded student of an expense form (provided by the CMC) specifying eligible expenses for transportation (airline, rail, rental car), hotel, and out of pocket expenses (taxis, meals-no alcoholic beverages). All expenses must be supported by valid itemized receipts attached to the reimbursement request.
Although the submitted expenses may be more than or less than the award amount, the amount paid to the student will be the actual total of the expenses incurred up to the maximum of the specified award.
