1960s
Frank M. Basile (BBA ’61) was recently named Outsanding Philanthropist by the Indiana Chapter of the Association of Fund Raising Professionals. Basile is senior vice president of Gene B. Glick Co. in Indianapolis.

Mollyne Karnofsky (BBA ’66, G ’72) is an artist based in New York. Since 1976, Karnofsky has had exhibitions in New York, Istanbul, New Orleans and Boston.

1970s
Stanley E. Ellington Jr. (MBA ’72) has been appointed managing director of the new E&P and Oilfield Service investment banking group of Dahlman Rose & Co., a leading investment bank specializing in marine transport, energy, natural resources and related industries. In that role, Ellington will be responsible for overseeing the group’s investment banking services, including public offerings of equity, private placements of equity and debt, financial advisory, and merger, acquisition and divestiture services. Prior to joining Dahlman Rose, Ellington served as managing director, corporate finance, for Capital One Southcoast Inc., where he raised equity capital for various energy companies.

Robert Moses (MBA ’73) is chairman/CEO of Best Brands Inc. in Nashville, Tenn.

Luis Rivas (MBA ’80) is vice president of TTC Telecom. Rivas and his wife reside in Parkland, Fla.

Thomas Turner (MBA ’80) is COO and vice chairman of Turner Industries Group in Baton Rouge.

Henry H. Harteveldt (BSM ’81) is vice president and principal analyst of travel research for Forrester Research in San Francisco.

Harriet Riddaugh (BSM ’82) is employed by Progressive Medical Products in Dade City, Fla.

Mike Sesan (BSM ’82) is a financial advisor with Edward Jones Investments in Kennesaw, Ga.

John Weinmann (BSM ’82) is managing director of Waverly Capital in Dallas.

Ozgur Karaosmanoglu (MBA ’87) is senior vice president, investments, with Raymond James & Associates in Washington.

Arvind Sanger (MBA ’87) is managing partner of GeoSphere Capital Management in New York. The hedge fund trades stocks of energy, mining, agricultural and shipping companies.

Mary Gilliam (MBA ’89) has been named a certified fundraising executive by Certified Fundraising Executives International. Individuals granted the credential have met a series of standards which include tenure in the profession, education, demonstrated fundraising achievement and a commitment of service to not-for-profit organizations. Gilliam is owner of Mary M. Gilliam Marketing and Fundraising in Slidell, La.

R. Lee Yates (MBA ’89) is the owner of Dante’s Kitchen in New Orleans. The restaurant, located in the Riverbend section, serves contemporary Louisiana cuisine.

1990s
John Scharfenberg (MBA ’90) is a teacher at Highland School in Warrenton, Va.

Michael Etheridge (BSM ’91) is finance director of Oodle Inc. in San Mateo, Calif.

Timothy McLanahan (BSM ’91) is vice president/CCO with Companies of Becker & Suffern in Mandeville, La.

George Miles (MBA ’91) has been named the new director of Local Initiatives Support Corporation’s Mid South Delta program. Based in Greenville, Miss., Mid South Delta LISC provides grants and loans to Delta community development corporations to help them develop affordable homes, apartments and commercial space. Prior to joining the Mid South Delta LISC program, Miles was executive director of Community Development Capital, a New Orleans-based loan fund and community development financial institution dedicated to providing affordable capital to organizations acquiring distressed, abandoned and blighted properties.

Clinton Wilder (MBA ’91) is president and CEO of Wilder Outdoors Inc., which recently opened a new store in Baldwin, Ga. The company specializes in outdoor equipment and firearms.

Theresa A. Bronold-Howarth (MBA ’92) and ??? were married. Husband? Job?

William A. Taylor Jr. (BSM ’93, MACCT ’94) was selected as one of Georgia Trend magazine’s “40 Under 40,” a group of 40 young professionals in Georgia who represent the “best and brightest” according to the magazine’s editors. Taylor is founder and president of Taylor CPA in Columbus, Ga. He founded the firm in 2000 at the age of 28 after having worked for Arthur Andersen in Atlanta and Robinson, Grimes & Co., a large accounting firm in Columbus. In 2003 Taylor expanded to include a second office, W3 Business and Tax Consultants Inc., in Atlanta. Taylor is actively involved in the community, funding track and field camps for youth, scholarships to attend band programs at Florida A&M and his own apprenticeship program, Run Your Own Business For A Year, in which high school juniors receive a $5,000 stipend and access to the resources in Taylor’s office for a year in order to learn what it’s like to operate a business.

Bengt Jarlsjo (MBA ’94) was recently named vice president of Energy & Climate Advisors, the asset adviser for Leaf Clean Energy Co. for Shaw Capital. Jarlsjo previously served as vice president of Shaw Capital.

Todd Liebman (BSM ’95) was recently appointed interim CEO of Intelli-Check Inc. In addition to interim CEO, Liebman serves as senior vice president of marketing. Liebman joined Intelli-Check in December 2004. Prior to that, he served as president of Quick Kiosk, A Kinetics Company, a self-service solution provider focused on the quick serve restaurant market industry. Intelli-Check is a leader in technology that helps assure the authenticity of driver licenses, state issued non-driver and military identification cards used as proof of identity.

Neil Solarsh (BSM ’95) is a senior account executive with Liz Claiborne in New York.

Adam Albarado (BSM ’96) is a lieutenant with the United States Navy. Albarado resides in Mililani, Hawaii.

Thomas J. Kern (MBA ’96) and Jennifer Lea Coleman were married on July 8, 2007. Kern is vice president and senior credit administration officer with Metairie Bank and Trust Co. He recently earned the prestigious credit risk certified (CRC) designation from the Risk Management Association. The couple resides in Mandeville, La.

Andy Silverman (BSM ’96) is director, finance, with Qwest in Denver.

Robert B. Williams Jr. (MBA ’96) is a project manager with Comframe Software Corp. He and his wife, Natalie, and his children, Robert III and Elizabeth, live in Birmingham, Ala.

Ben Louviere (MBA ’97) is a senior engineer with W. S. Nelson Consulting Engineers in New Orleans.

Emese Haszons Munro (MBA ’97) lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., with her husband, Lee, and children, Connor and

Donald Kappen (BSM ’98) and Tina Garmon (L ’03) were married on Oct. 28, 2007. Kappen is a legal consultant with IKON Legal Document Services in New Orleans.

Thomas Liu (MBA ’98) is manager of corporate finance in the treasury group of Celanese Corp., a global producer of value-added industrial chemicals. Liu is based at the company’s Dallas headquarters.

Earl A. Stolz III (MBA ’98) has been appointed vice president, investment banking, in the E&P group of Dahlman Rose & Co. The group is based in New Orleans. Dahlman Rose is a leading investment bank specializing in marine transport, energy, natural resources and related industries. Prior to joining Dahlman Rose, Stolz worked in the investment banking division of Capital One Southcoast Inc.

George Fowler IV (BSM ’99) is co-owner of Smart Buy Kitchen and Bath in New Orleans. Fowler, a practicing attorney, started the business to provide affordable all-wood cabinets and granite countertops to New Orleans area residents rebuilding after Katrina.

Michael Martel (BSM ’99) is manager with Propeller Basin in New Baltimore, Mich.

Henry W. Shurlds (MBA ’99) was recently named vice president and partner at Onesource Professional Search, a boutique executive recruiting firm located in Mandeville, La., that emphasizes strategic placement of professionals and team leaders in the domestic and international energy industry.

Ashley Roussel Wienhoff (BSM ’99) and her husband, Jeffrey R. Wienhoff (E ’99), announce the birth of a daughter, Camryn E. Wienhoff, on March 30, 2007. Camryn joins her sister, Alexa M. Wienhoff, who is 3 years old. The family resides in Springfield, Ill.

Selarstean M. Mitchell (N ’76, MBA ’01) was appointed director of assisted housing for the Fort Worth Housing Authority after relocating to Texas in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Mitchell resides in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Thomas Spiers (MBA ’01) is chief administrative officer with Gulf South Eye Associates in Metairie, La.

Bradley Sullivan (BSM ’01) is an associate with MetLife Investments in Morristown, N.J.

Marcellus Catalano (MBA ’02) is director of Alea Trading LLC.

Conan Magee (MBA ’02) is an analyst with Innovest Strategic Value Advisors, a qualitative research house that specializes in environmental, social and governance factors. Magee is based at the firm’s New York office. Prior to joining Innovest, Magee served as a Presidential Management Fellow with the Department of Transportation in Washington and spent a year in Cameroon through the Peace Corps working with a microfinance institution.

John Pette (MBA ’02) recently finished serving an appointment as management officer at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. Next year he will begin serving a similar two-year appointment in El Salvador. Pette is married to Sarah Currier (N ’01).

Eric R. Sturniolo (BSM ’02) is principal of E.R.S. Real Estate Group in Brooklyn. Sturniolo recently expanded the business into New Jersey and now covers 13 counties in the New York City/New Jersey area.

Vinode Thomas (MBA ’02) is assistant vice president of IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd., a private equity firm in Mumbai. Prior to that, he served as a police commissioner in India.

is a senior capital planning analyst with Cox Communications Inc. in Metairie, La.

Summer Bosch (MBA ’04) was promoted to middle market banker in the J.P. Morgan Chase Dallas Commercial Bank Division in May 2007. In that role, Bosch controls a portfolio of clients that range in size of annual revenues from $10 million to $500 million, handling all their credit, treasury, depository and derivative needs. Prior to the promotion, Bosch served for two years as assistant vice president and small business relationship manager for J.P. Morgan Chase in Dallas, where she managed the business side of Chase’s largest retail branch in Texas.

J. Brian Carberry (MBA ’04) is a senior marketing analyst with Harrah’s in Bossier City, La.

Jack Clark III (MBA ’04) is an accountant with Exelon Corp. Clark resides in Chicago.

John Cullen (MBA ’04) is vice president of corporate development at Amedisys Inc., a leading provider of home health care and hospice services. Cullen is based in Baton Rouge, La.
