Ukrainian ambassador addresses Freeman

Oleh Shamshur, Ukraine’s ambassador to the United States, discussed Ukraine’s recent elections and their impact on the country’s domestic and foreign policy in a special presentation at the Freeman School on Nov. 29, 2007.

Shamshur has served as ambassador of Ukraine to the United States since 2005. Prior to that, he served as Ukraine’s deputy minister of foreign affairs, head of the ministry’s European Union Department, minister/counselor of the Ukrainian embassy to the Benelux countries, and deputy chairman of the State Committee for Nationalities and Migration of Ukraine. Ambassdor Shamshur’s presentation was sponsored by the Entergy-Tulane Energy Institute.
