Tulane's Executive MBA program was initiated in 1982. The EMBA offers working managers and professionals an opportunity to earn an MBA degree in an accelerated, weekend format with minimal interruption to their careers. Tulane's program is full accredited by the AACSB and is listed in the Top 20 EMBA programs in the U.S. by Business Week (1997), Business Week's Guide to the Best Business Schools, and other nationally published surveys. The Stewart Center for Executive Education initiates and directs local, national, and international executive education programs. Executive education programs are conducted concurrently in New Orleans, Taiwan, Chile, Ecuador, and Mexico. Taiwan In 1993, the Stewart Center began the Taiwan Executive MBA program. New TEMBA classes begin each spring with student's attending a three-week seminar on the Tulane campus in New Orleans. During the summer and fall months Freeman School faculty travel to Taipei to teach TEMBA students. Successful students earn the Tulane MBA degree. Chile An Executive MBA program was established in March 1997 in Santiago, Chile. New EMBA classes begin each March. Successful participants earn MBA degrees from both Tulane University and from Universidad de Chile in Santiago. Ecuador In July 1998, the Stewart Center launched an EMBA program in Guayaquil, Ecuador, in partnership with Escuela Superior Politecnica Del Literal (ESPOL). Graduates from the Guayaquil program will earn Tulane's master of management degree with an emphasis on international business and an MBA from ESPOL. Mexico The Stewart Center has also played a vital role in establishing certificate programs for Mexican managers at the Universidad Autonoma del Carmen, located in Ciudad del Carmen in the state of Campeche, Mexico, and at the Universidad de Olmeca, in Villahermosa, in state of Tabasco, Mexico. |
