"Measuring Systematic Risk in Markets with Very Thin trading."
(Investigates methods for measuring systematic risk in markets like the Mexican BV in which trading can be very thin. Uses simulation to assess the efficiency of beta estimators such as Scholes Williams and Lesmond.)

Daniel Moska
"The Efficiency of the Mexican Stock Market."
( Investigates the relationship of Mexican stock returns to macroeconomic variables and Farna and French (1992) factors.)

Guadalupe Ochoa
"Hedging to Reduce Agency Costs."
(Studies the question whether corporate hedging of foreign exchange exposure increases firm value.)

Susana Gonzalez
"Family Business"
(Investigates the corporate finance of family owned or controlled businesses. Family owned or controlled businesses may exhibit managerial entrenchment, dividend preferences or other features not characteristic of diffuse ownership structures that affect firm value. Studies a sample of US firms to detect evidence of these attributes. Will collect and study a sample of Mexican firms.)
Humberto Guevara
"The 'week-end' and 'holiday' effects in ADR and home markets."
(Following Roll and Ross, investigates how information public and private) is processed into stock prices by studying price volatility in the ADR market and corresponding home market on days when both markets are closed (week ends) and when one market is open and the other closed (holidays).)

Amado Villarreal, Ph.D. (2001)
"The Mexican evidence on the stochastic behavior of interest rates."
(Investigates continuous-time models designed to explain the term structure. Uses GMM estimation of single and multi factor models to model the behavior of Mexican CETES rates.)
