Marketing at Tulane

At Tulane, the focus is on understanding the consumer. The graduate concentration and undergraduate major at Tulane is a study of how consumers behave in the market place and classes that focus on researching, measuring and analyzing their behavior. Consumer behavior is defined broadly to include not just how consumers choose packaged goods, but how consumers make a range of decisions about services from health care to entertainment, how organizational buyers purchase and how consumers shop on the Internet. Applied courses focus on branding, advertising, sales and social media. The goal is to understand consumption behavior so that both consumer welfare and organizational goals are optimized.
