Position Announcement: Tulane University

The A. B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University is seeking one tenured faculty member in the area of marketing at the Associate or Full level, beginning Fall 2012. All qualified applicants are invited to apply, though a preference will be given to those conducting managerial research and with strong methods skills.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D. and have an established record of publications in top marketing journals (e.g., Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing, and Marketing Science). Besides a solid research focus, quality teaching and the willingness to participate in service assignments for the school and university are important.

This hire is part of a strategic growth plan to increase the Freeman faculty size by 40%. The Freeman School is strongly research oriented and encourages collaboration across business disciples and interdisciplinary research with other schools at Tulane. In 2006, Thomson Scientific ranked the Freeman School in the top 1 percent of institutions according to citations in business and economics.

Members of the marketing faculty currently serve on the editorial boards of Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Consumer Psychology and Marketing Letters, and have recently published in journals such as Journal of Marketing Research, Journal of Marketing and Journal of Consumer Research.

The Freeman School provides substantial resources for research including individual research budgets, and a behavioral lab in which several undergraduate and graduate students participate in research.
