News Wall Street Journal ranks five Freeman alums “Best on the Street” May 22, 2007 Five Freeman School alums made the grade in this year’s Wall Street Journal “Best on the Street” analysts survey. The special report highlights Wall Street analysts whose buy and sell recommendations generated the highest total returns within each industry last year. Freeman alums on this year’s list include Henry J. Coffey Jr. (MBA ’86), who ranked second in Consumer and Specialty Finance; Christopher A. Chaney (MBA ’91), who ranked third in Semiconductors; Douglas J. Mavrinac (MBA ’01), who ranked third in Industrial Transportation; Michael J. Sison (MBA ’98), who ranked fifth in Chemicals; and Ronald C. Bookbinder (MBA ’99), who ranked fifth in Clothing & Accessories. The survey, which appeared on May 21, 2007, ranks the top five analysts in each of 45 industries thought to be of particular interest to investors. The Wall Street Journal and Thomson Financial considered more than 4,000 analysts at more than 280 firms for inclusion in the survey. Of those, 1,705 analysts met the survey’s eligibility tests and qualified to have their research analyzed in detail, and 223 were ultimately selected as “Best on the Street.” |
