Bachelor of Science in Management

The A. B. Freeman School of Business offers a nationally ranked undergraduate program leading to the Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) degree. Emphasizing a generalist approach to management education, the BSM program trains students to become well-rounded managers who can analyze problems and propose workable solutions. BSM students are taught by the same outstanding faculty who teach in our graduate business programs. The Freeman School, housed in the Goldring/Woldenberg Complex, provides state-of-the-art business education facilities.
Students generally spend the first two years completing the general education requirements of the Newcomb-Tulane core curriculum in the liberal arts and sciences and a set of prerequisite courses for the Freeman curriculum. Prerequisites include microeconomics, macroeconomics, calculus, statistics, and psychology. Majors include Finance, Legal Studies in Business, Management, and Marketing. Students interested in accounting enroll in the 5-year Masters of Accounting program. Please review the 2010-2011 BSM Curriculum which outlines the coursework that must be completed to obtain the BSM degree.
