The Tulane University Masters of Accounting (MACCT) Program offers an academically rigorous, flexible and individualized program for students interested in pursuing a graduate accounting degree. The MACCT prepares all our students to work in a global business environment providing them with the tools necessary to be effective communicators, ethical leaders, and technical experts in their field and to sit for the Uniform Certified Public Accountant examination if so desired.

For students with limited accounting background, our rigorous courses deepen their accounting knowledge. For students with advanced accounting coursework, we offer a unique set of core courses structured around business risk. In addition to these core courses, students broaden their understanding of accounting's role in organizations via a sequence of three graduate courses in a focus area, such as finance, taxation, energy, or entrepreneurship – taking advantage of the close relationship between various graduate programs at Tulane.

Tulane MACCT program boasts a world-class faculty who are "passionate and exceptional teachers" and active researchers. Our faculty have hands-on industry experience (e.g. investment banking, revenue authority, private tax practice, and expert testimony for litigation) which they integrate in the classroom.

Tulane's diverse student population mimics the global business environment with students from various cultural, linguistic and business backgrounds coming together to learn both from our outstanding faculty and each other. The program's small size also provides students with the opportunity to work closely with our faculty and develop meaningful relationships with fellow students.

Professional staff from the career management center (CMC) provide students with career education programs and counselling that respond to the current market and help students develop and manage their career. Ardent competition for Tulane MACCT students means that MACCT graduates are very successful in pursuing careers with the major public accounting firms as well as private industry.
