BSM Major Ambassador Program

Are you having a hard time deciding on a major within the business school? Contact a BSM Major Ambassador to find out about the different majors from the student perspective.

BSM Major Ambassadors are junior and senior business students selected to work directly with freshmen and sophomores who are trying to decide on a major within the business school. They are eager to share their experiences related to their major with you. Please feel free to contact any of the Major Ambassadors below by email.

Some ground rules:

  • Respect the time of the BSM Major Ambassador you contact. Be mindful of exam schedules and other academic and social commitments the Ambassadors have. If you don't hear back within 72 hours of first contacting an Ambassador, you can send a gentle reminder, but please don't bombard them with multiple requests. If there are any problems, contact Tamar Starck at tstarck@tulane.edu or the Office of Undergraduate Education in GWI, Suite 200.

  • This is an informal way for you to meet upper class students to discuss possible majors. BSM Major Ambassadors are not advisors and any advice they give cannot be upheld if it is incorrect. Continue to seek advising through your BSM Academic Coordinator and Newcomb-Tulane Academic Advisor.

  • BSM Major Ambassadors are not to be used as tutors. If you need academic help, please contact your instructors, your advisors, the Tutoring Center, or the Office of Undergraduate Education in GWI, Suite 200.

I am a senior, majoring in Management on the Entrepreneurship track and minoring in Sociology. I enjoyed being Sidney Pulitzer's TA for Entrepreneurial Management this past semester. My business classes have helped me with my Black Rabbit internship, a motion graphic solutions company, and working in the Tulane Athletics Team Shop and Ticket Office. As a freshman, I started the Tulane Women's Lacrosse Team, where I lead the funding, marketing, and organizational structure of the team. Even though I have continued with the same major, the guidance of my advisors and peers to try different classes has enhanced my education and introduced me to new opportunities. I look forward to helping others find the best variety and fit with their class selections.
