The Office of Undergraduate Education, located in Goldring/Woldenberg Hall I, Suite 200, provides student support services related to the Freeman School's Bachelor of Science in Management (BSM) program. The office manages BSM admission, registration, student counseling and advising, student records, monitoring of academic performance, student organization advising, and certification for graduation. Additionally, the office provides academic services for students minoring in business. The Office of Graduate Programs, located in Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II, Suite 4113, provides student support and services for Master of Business Administration (MBA), Professional Master of Business Administration (PMBA), Master of Accounting (MACCT), Master of Finance (MFIN), and various joint-degree programs. The Stewart Center for Executive Education, also located in Goldring/Woldenberg Hall II, Suite 4113, manages all Executive MBA (EMBA) programs with administrative staff in New Orleans and in Houston. Undergraduate Education Team Members: Marion Bakamitsou, Assistant Director of Undergraduate Education -- responsible for communicating with students, assisting the faculty with advising majors/minors, providing information to existing students and prospective students, as well as their families regarding business school programs, managing academic/student records including transfer course evaluation, prerequisite checks, degree audit updates, degree certification, managing student organizations, marketing business school programs, course enrollment management, and assisting with AACSB accreditation. Phone: (504) 314-2478 Genevieve Dempre, Project Assistant -- provides clerical and data management assistance to complete assignments delegated by the Associate Dean, Director and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Education, and secretaries, managing the front office area, assisting with the telephone responsibilities, appropriately screening and routing all calls, distributing mail, managing the office calendars, proofreading various documents, updating students' mailboxes, sending emails to students regarding different events, and preparing course evaluation packets. Additional responsibilities include assisting with generating data/reports from the student information system, and undergraduate student record filing. Phone: (504) 862-8377 Dayna Gessler, Director of BSM -- responsibilities include all marketing for the BSM program, advising for pre-BSM students, coordinating undergraduate student organizations, planning all new student orientations, and providing support to the Undergraduate Curriculum Committee. Phone: (504) 862-8013 Julieanne (Julie) Gomez, BSM Executive Secretary -- coordinates and implements all activities related to admission of BSM students, analyzes all interdivisional transfer applications for admission requirements, markets and coordinates special projects for prospective BSM students, and develops and maintains database system integrity to ensure accuracy of data. He is also on the faculty of the Freeman School, the area coordinator for Legal Studies in Business, and the university's Associate Provost. In his capacity as Associate Dean, he monitors the quality of the Freeman undergraduate experience, oversees the Office of Undergraduate Education and reviews the student's academic progress. Phone: (504) 862-8495 Lisa O'Dwyer, Senior Executive Secretary -- provides administrative and operational support to the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Education and the Office of Undergraduate Education. Howard, Associate Dean -- monitors the quality of the Freeman School's graduate program, ensuring their continuous improvement, and facilitating the coordination of the faculty who teach in the various graduate programs and the staff who support the programs. Phone: (504) 865-5343 Laney Armstrong, Executive Secretary -- coordinates various activities in the front office and assists the program directors and associate dean, as needed. She works closely with the graduate-level programs to help ensure the highest-quality program delivery. Phone: (504) 247-1290 Stephen Estrada, Director of Professional Education -- manages all aspects of the PMBA program, including marketing, admissions, curriculum development, scheduling, academic advising, and some alumni relations. He advises PMBA and MFIN students concerning academic matters and facilitates the interaction between students and the administrative aspects of the university. Mr. Estrada is the first point of contact for all PMBA and MFIN questions and problem resolutions. Phone: (504) 865-5402 John Silbernagel, Director of Graduate Education -- serves as academic advisor to the graduate students in the full-time MBA and MACCT programs and coordinates the activities of graduate Freeman School student organizations. He works with the faculty and deans to address student concerns and directs grievances and special requests to appropriate individuals and committees.
